Colorado Springs recently celebrated a milestone along with Entegris, Microchip, and InnovaFlex. These companies have been awarded $75 million in funding under the CHIPS and Science Act to support the development of a sustainable talent pipeline critical to the future of U.S. semiconductor manufacturing careers. The project aims to strengthen the domestic semiconductor supply chain and create jobs in Colorado.

BEA is excited to announce our involvement in this groundbreaking initiative, which brings together multiple industry partners. BEA will support the Pikes Peak Business & Education Alliance (PPBEA) in designing and developing a comprehensive semiconductor career exploration and development program. Through our Talent Accelerating Communities (TAC) strategy, by employing human-centered design thinking methods we will build an innovative, sustainable education-to-employment pipeline for the semiconductor industry in the Pikes Peak region.

This multi-partner collaboration presents an exciting opportunity to grow and strengthen the entire talent ecosystem in this crucial sector. By aligning high school curriculum, internship and apprenticeship opportunities, career pathway mapping for students, and the specific needs of Entegris, Innovaflex, and Microchip, we're ensuring that Colorado Springs and the Mountain West region will be at the forefront of semiconductor manufacturing innovation.

Stay tuned for updates on this transformative project and how it will shape our community's career-connected learning future!
