Salute to Teachers Student Essay Contest
Your favorite teacher can be honored by the Somerset Patriots at one home game this season.

Nominating your teacher is easy!
Write a one-page essay (250 words tops) that answer the following questions:
1. How does your teacher challenge students to strive for success?
2. How does your teacher motivate you to do your best work?
3. How does your teacher serve as a role model for you and your
classmates?
Teacher Prize: 15 free tickets to the game, a special ceremony between innings at the game, a gift from the Patriots and a certificate from the Partnership.
Student Nominator Prize: portions of the winning essays will be read at the ballpark ceremony and printed in the Courier News and Hunterdon County Democrat.
ENTRY DEADLINE: April 1, 2008
Official Rules
Only K-12 teachers currently working in Hunterdon, Somerset, Mercer, Morris, and Union Counties are eligible.
Teachers must be available to attend the game at which they and the student will be honored.
Essays may be submitted by individual K-12 students.
Essays will be judged on completeness, neatness, and originality. Good Luck!
Prizes include certificate of recognition and game tickets.
