Shadowing and Mentoring Program

The Business & Education Alliance, Inc. is excited to announce our newest program offered in conjunction with Hunterdon County Chamber of Commerce (HCCC). The Shadowing Program is a wonderful program being offered to Hunterdon County students.

The Shadowing Program is designed to provide the students with the valuable insight to what businesses require of employees and enforces the school-to-work connection. Students shadow a local business professional in their field of study and/or interest. The desired outcome is a long-term internship.

The goal of this program is to expand on the current foundation that has already built upon and to increase the awareness of current business practices.

Student Objectives
Through the shadowing experience students will:

  1. Observe and experience interaction and teamwork between workers
  2. Be exposed to the concept of work and careers
  3. Develop or Observe the "Work Ethic"
  4. Comprehend the relevance of education
  5. Observe that rules are constant in our society
  6. Observe the structure required to work effectively
  7. Observe the variety of opportunities that exist in the world of work
  8. Demonstrate overall growth as an individual
  9. Reinforces the school-to-work connection
